American-Saudi Arabian Culture & Commerce Festival in Taif

The US Consulate General Jeddah will host the second American – Saudi Arabian Culture & Commerce Festival following the great success of the Festival in Abha in 2007. Under the sponsorship of HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Mecca region, the Culture & Commerce Festival seeks to develop and strengthen the cultural and commercial relationship between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Consulate is pleased to organize a second festival under HRH’s auspices once again in partnership with the Governorate of Taif, the Taif Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities.
The American – Saudi Arabian Culture & Commerce Festival main exhibition will be open and free to the public on Wednesday and Thursday May 6 & 7, 2009 at the Intercontinental Hotel in Taif from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Festival will include workshops and meetings between Saudi business men and women and their American counterparts, US visa information sessions, seminars for students intending to study in the US, and art, cultural and commercial exhibits. The Festival will culminate with a musical performance on Friday May 8, 2009 at the Water Park located at the bottom of the famous Telefrik Al-Kar (Cable Car). A discount will be provided to all who would like to attend the performance, ride the Cable Car and enjoy the Water Park.
