What should I bring to the interview?

Each applicant 14 years of age and older must schedule an appointment for the interview. At the time of the interview, applicants must bring all of the following:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • Photocopy of the bio-date page of valid passport
  • All previous passports
  • Fully completed and signed applications - DS 156 (EVAF); DS 157; DS 158
  • One photograph
  • Proof of financial ability
  • SAMBA bank receipt
  • Money to pay FedEx to ship passport back after visa issuance

In addition, students must bring:

  • Original I-20, plus photocopy
  • SEVIS payment receipt
  • Transcripts from all educational institutions, beginning with secondary school

NOTE: All information on your student visa must match the I-20 the first time you enter the United States
