Citizen Services

Emergencies

The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit at the U.S. Consulate General Jeddah can assist when U.S. citizens in the Western region of Saudi Arabia are arrested, are missing, are victims of violent crime, become ill, die, or where there is otherwise a need for immediate help.  One of our most important roles is to keep family members in the United States apprised of the circumstances, so that they can make necessary decisions about their loved ones and provide financial support.

For emergencies during regular office hours (8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday-Wednesday) please call (2)667-0080 ext 4610.

A duty  officer is always available outside normal office hours to assist American citizens who have serious emergencies.  The duty officer can be reached by calling (2)667-0080.  Please note that we can only replace lost and stolen passports during normal office hours.

The U.S. Embassy Riyadh provides services to American Citizens in the provinces of Al Jawf, Ha'il, Al Qasim, Ar Riyadh, and Ar Hudud aah Shaliyah.  The U.S. Consulate General Jeddah serves the Western region of Saudi Arabia, including the provinces of Tabuk, Al Madinah, Makkah, Asir, Al Bahah, Jizan and Najran.  The U.S. Consulate General Dhahran serves the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
